How to cancel your Resimay subscription

You can cancel a Resimay Pro subscription any time. The whole thing takes about two minutes. You stay on Pro until the end of the current billing period, then the account drops back to the free plan automatically. No retention email, no friction.

The four steps

  1. Sign in at resimay.ai/login with the email you used at checkout. If you are not sure which email you used, check the receipt from your most recent payment.
  2. Open Settings from the dashboard. The link is in the account menu at the top right of every dashboard page. Scroll to the Subscription card.
  3. Click "Manage subscription." This opens the billing portal we use to handle payments. The portal is a secure page hosted by our payment processor.
  4. Choose "Cancel plan" and confirm. That is the last step. You will receive a confirmation email within a few minutes.

What happens after you cancel

  • You keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period. If you paid for the month, you get the rest of that month. If you paid quarterly, you get the rest of the quarter. We do not pro-rate refunds on time you have already paid for, but we also do not cut you off mid-period.
  • After the period ends, your account drops to the free plan automatically. Your data stays put: every saved job, tailored resume, cover letter, and interview note remains in your account. The only thing that changes is the feature gate.
  • No further charges will be made. Your card stays on file with the payment processor only until the end of the billing period, then the authorization expires.
  • You can reactivate anytime. Sign in, open Settings, and pick a plan again. Reactivation restores Pro features instantly.

Refunds

We do not pro-rate refunds for unused time on a billing period that has already been charged. If you were charged today and cancel tomorrow, you keep Pro through the end of the period and the original charge stands.

Exceptions: if Resimay was unavailable for an extended period during your billing cycle, or if you were charged unexpectedly after asking us to cancel and the cancellation did not go through, write to [email protected] with the receipt and we will sort it out.

If the cancel button is not working

Two common causes:

  • You are signed in with a different email than the one you used at checkout. Sign out, sign back in with the email on the receipt, and try again.
  • The billing portal is open in a different tab and timed out. Close all the billing-portal tabs, click Manage subscription again from Settings, and use the fresh window that opens.

Still stuck? [email protected]. Reply within one business day. Include your account email and roughly when you started trying to cancel. That lets us trace it on our side.

Cancelling free-tier accounts

Free accounts do not have a subscription to cancel. There is no recurring charge. If you want to delete the account entirely (and the data with it), go to Settings → Account → Delete account, or write to [email protected] and we will run the deletion for you. Deletion is permanent within 30 days of the request, per our Privacy Policy.
