Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Resimay. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Last updated: 2026-05-13. Subject to review by legal counsel before public launch.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and Resimay Labs Inc.(“Resimay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a corporation incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada, governing your access to and use of the Resimay platform (“the Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Resimay is an AI-powered job application tracker that helps you tailor your resume to specific job descriptions, track your job applications, analyze rejection patterns, and draft follow-up communications.

The Service is offered in two tiers: a Free tier with limited usage, and a Pro tier with expanded capabilities available via paid subscription. Feature details for each tier are described in Section 5 and on our Pricing page.

3. Account Registration

To use Resimay, you must create an account with a valid email address and accurate information. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it up to date.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Take full responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Resimay only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal activity or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Resimay platform.
  • Submit false or fabricated job application data to manipulate platform features.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any individual or organization.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.
  • Use any AI-powered feature of the Service (including the Resume Coach, AI tailoring, cover letter generation, and interview prep) for purposes outside its intended scope (for example, attempting to use the Resume Coach for non-resume tasks such as general conversation, coding help, translation, or content unrelated to your own job search).
  • Attempt to bypass, manipulate, or override an AI feature’s instructions or restrictions, including by submitting prompt-injection payloads, role-play overrides, system-prompt impersonation, or any other technique intended to make the AI behave outside its documented purpose.
  • Request that Resimay’s AI fabricate or invent professional history, employers, job titles, dates, metrics, certifications, skills, or other resume content you cannot truthfully claim. Resimay’s product is designed to refuse fabrication requests.

4.1 Enforcement and feature-level restrictions

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion and without prior notice, to take any of the following actions when we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are misusing a feature:

  • Issue an in-product warning.
  • Temporarily pause your access to a specific feature (for example, a 24-hour or 48-hour cooldown on the Resume Coach) while the rest of your account continues to function.
  • Escalate cooldown duration on repeated violations.
  • Place your account in a monitored state, in which we log the inputs you submit to the affected feature for review. We may retain those inputs for as long as reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms.
  • Restrict or remove access to one or more features permanently.
  • Suspend or terminate your account in accordance with Section 10.

When we apply a feature-level restriction, we will explain the reason and the duration in the product (and, for cooldowns lasting 24 hours or longer, by email to the address associated with your account). The decision to apply, lift, or extend a restriction is ours and not subject to negotiation, but you may contact us at [email protected] to request a review if you believe the restriction was applied in error.

5. Plans

Resimay is offered through three plan surfaces. Current pricing and quantitative caps (per-month and per-day limits, session lengths, and similar) are listed on our pricing page; this section describes what each plan includes at a feature level.

Free includes: a limited number of active jobs tracked, a limited number of AI operations per month (shared across resume tailoring, cover letter drafts, interview prep, and rejection analysis), a limited number of AI-drafted recruiter emails per month, resume templates, clean PDF download, the AI bullet and summary improvers inside the Resume Builder, top-missing-keywords-per-job analysis, and the AI-powered resume grader at signup.

Resimay plan (paid) includes: unlimited active jobs tracked, unlimited AI resume tailoring, unlimited cover-letter drafts, unlimited rejection analysis, unlimited follow-up and recruiter email drafts, full keyword and ATS breakdown per job, unlimited per-job interview preparation, unlimited asynchronous (text-based) mock interview sessions, the Resimay Chrome extension autofill assistance (including AI-suggested answers gated by user review), resume download as .docx and PDF, full Global Insights access, the Resume Coach surface, priority support, and a small monthly allowance of voice mock interview sessions (audio-based, with a fixed maximum session length).

AI Voice Interview add-on (paid, on top of the Resimay plan) includes: an expanded monthly allowance of voice mock interview sessions beyond what the base plan provides. Each voice session has a fixed maximum length and a per-day audio cap (both disclosed on the pricing page). The add-on does not change any other feature behavior.

Some AI features are subject to soft usage limits intended to prevent abuse and protect infrastructure cost. If you approach or exceed a soft limit, we may notify you and, in extreme cases, temporarily restrict access to the affected feature until the next billing period. We do not silently cap usage: you will see your current limits in the dashboard and be notified before any restriction is applied.

Feature availability and pricing may change. We will provide reasonable notice (at least 30 days for material reductions to existing paying customers) of material changes to plan features or pricing structure.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Resimay uses AI to generate resume tailoring suggestions, keyword analysis, rejection insights, follow-up email drafts, company research briefs, interview practice feedback, and (via the Resimay Chrome extension) suggested answers to open-ended and multiple-choice questions on third-party application forms. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions.

The AI output provided by Resimay is not professional career advice, legal advice, or a guarantee of job search success. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it in your job applications or other communications. Resimay is a tool to assist your process, not a substitute for your own judgment.

AI may invent facts that sound plausible. This includes fabricated metrics, made-up project codenames, exaggerated job titles, invented dates, or embellished accomplishments. Always verify every claim, date, number, and title on your resume against your actual experience before submission. Submitting false information on a resume is grounds for rescinded job offers or termination from a job, even years after hire (per HireRight 2024, 88% of employers have caught resume misrepresentation). The Service flags potentially risky claims when it can detect them, but the final review and accuracy responsibility is yours.

6.1 Chrome Extension Autofill & AI-Suggested Answers

The Resimay Chrome extension can pre-fill known fields on third-party Applicant Tracking System (ATS) application forms from your saved profile, and can suggest AI-generated answers to open-ended questions and AI-picked answers to multiple-choice questions when the deterministic matcher cannot confidently fill a field on its own. The following terms apply specifically to that surface:

  • You are submitting the application, not Resimay.Resimay never auto-submits an application on your behalf. You must review every filled and AI-suggested value, edit as needed, and click the third-party form’s own Submit button yourself. AI-touched fields are marked with a yellow indicator inside the form so you can see at a glance what was AI-generated before submitting.
  • Suggested answers must be reviewed before they reach the form. AI drafts and picks render inside Resimay’s side panel for your review and edit. Nothing is written into the actual application field until you explicitly click “Use this answer.” By clicking that button you adopt the AI-suggested content as your own and represent that it is accurate.
  • Voluntary self-identification questions are excluded. Resimay will never auto-generate or suggest answers for fields asking about your gender, sex, race, ethnicity, Hispanic or Latino origin, veteran status, disability status, or age. Those answers must be entered manually by you, if you choose to answer them at all.
  • Third-party site terms apply.Use of the Chrome extension on third-party job-board and ATS websites is subject to those sites’ own Terms of Service. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the extension on any given site complies with that site’s rules. Resimay is not affiliated with LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or any other ATS named in our marketing or documentation; those marks belong to their respective owners.
  • Selector drift & missed fields. ATS forms change their underlying field structure without notice. The extension may occasionally miss a field, fill the wrong field, or fail to inject on a page that has changed since our last update. Always review the whole form before submitting.

Performance claims.Marketing materials may reference typical AI processing times (for example, “under 2 seconds” for job description extraction). These figures describe typical performance under normal conditions with short- to medium-length inputs and reliable network connectivity. Actual latency varies with input length, upstream AI provider load, network conditions, and other factors outside our control, and may be longer. Performance figures are illustrative, not guaranteed service levels.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain full ownership of your resume content and any other data you submit to the Service.

License to Resimay: By using the Service, you grant Resimay a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.

AI-generated outputs: Outputs generated for you using the Service (including tailored resumes, cover letter drafts, follow-up email drafts, rejection analyses, and interview prep questions) are owned by you, with the same rights you have over your input content. Resimay claims no ownership of AI-generated outputs delivered to your account. You are free to use, modify, distribute, or share those outputs for any lawful purpose.

Resimay platform:The Resimay name, logo, platform, software, design, and all related intellectual property are owned by Resimay. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use Resimay's intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service.

8. Trademark

“Resimay” and the Resimay logo are unregistered trademarks of Resimay Labs Inc. Trademark registration is pending. Unauthorized use of the Resimay name or logo is prohibited. You may not use the Resimay name or logo in any way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without our prior written consent.

9. Payment and Refunds

Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a weekly, monthly, or 90-day basis, depending on the plan you select. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Refunds: No refunds for partial billing periods on any plan. You may cancel at any time and your access will continue until the end of the current billing period. If something went wrong on our end, email support and we will make it right.

All prices are listed in USD. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be purged within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a way that could harm Resimay or other users. Suspension may be account-wide or limited to specific features, as described in Section 4.1 (Enforcement and feature-level restrictions). A feature-level cooldown lifts automatically at the end of its stated duration; an account-wide suspension or termination lifts only at our discretion.

If we suspend or terminate your account, you remain responsible for any fees incurred before the action took effect, and no refund is owed for any unused portion of a paid subscription where the suspension or termination resulted from your violation of these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

Resimay is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce any particular job search outcome.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resimay shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, loss of income, or data loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Resimay in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

Resimay Labs Inc. is incorporated in the Province of Ontario, Canada. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court for matters within that court's jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer residing outside Canada, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence may apply in addition to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Miscellaneous Provisions

Force Majeure

Neither party will be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations under these Terms caused by events beyond reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental action, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, or third-party infrastructure outages (e.g., cloud provider downtime, AI API outages).

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving the original intent.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Resimay concerning the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, agreements, or understandings, whether written or oral.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights or obligations hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law, and will notify you of any such assignment via email or in-app notice.

No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms are for the benefit of you and Resimay only. Nothing in these Terms creates any rights for any third party.

Survival

The following provisions survive termination of these Terms or your account: Section 6 (AI-Generated Content Disclaimer), Section 7 (Intellectual Property), Section 8 (Trademark), Section 11 (Limitation of Liability), Section 12 (Governing Law), and this Section 14.
