Dear Hiring Principal,
At Lumen Studio I wrote Grasshopper scripts that tested facade panelization and cut curtain-wall iteration time by roughly 40 percent, and the massing and daylighting studies I modeled in Rhino fed three winning competition entries. I passed all six ARE 5.0 divisions while working full time and earned my Texas license in 2020, and I hold an NCARB Certificate and LEED AP BD+C on top of it. Nine years in, I take commercial, multifamily, and adaptive-reuse work from schematic design through construction administration. For Brazos Hill's East Austin reuse projects, that means a designer who can run the parametric study early and seal the documents that get the building built.
At Holloway Reed I authored the full construction document set for a $48M mixed-use development, coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP models in Revit and resolving more than 300 clashes in Navisworks before issue for construction. I steer projects through IBC, ADA, and local zoning review, and I cleared City of Austin plan check on first submission for 7 of 9 permits. Across three concurrent jobs I have run construction administration end to end, processing RFIs, submittals, and ASIs and keeping punch-list rework under 2% of contract value through disciplined site observation.
What I would bring to Brazos Hill is range across the full arc of a project, from the entitlement renderings I built in Enscape for hearings to the sealed sheets that clear plan review. My M.Arch from UT Austin is NAAB-accredited and my Texas license is current, so I can stamp documents on day one. I can send sealed CD samples and references from Holloway Reed ahead of any conversation, and I am open to a call most weekday afternoons.
