Dear Artistic Director,
On a televised awards-show number I hit camera-blocked choreography to fixed marks across multiple takes, holding the same spacing and timing while the cameras reset around me. That on-camera precision sits next to two seasons of corps de ballet work at Metro Ballet Second Company, where I danced 'The Nutcracker' and 'Coppelia' and covered soloist tracks as an understudy, learning full variations on pointe to go on with short notice. Ten years of ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and Graham and Horton modern technique support that range, alongside my BFA in Dance, ABT National Training Curriculum through Level 5, and a Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate vocational graded exam. Allegheny River Dance Collective wants a dancer who can hold concert repertory and pick up commercial-paced material in a day, and I have built my training around carrying both.
Since 2023 I have danced principal and ensemble roles across a 24-show repertory season at Hudson Contemporary Dance Theater, choreographed by Artistic Director Lena Okafor. I originated a featured duet in the premiere of 'Tidewater,' rehearsing 25 hours a week to set the partnering and weight-sharing phrases, and I have toured nationally to 14 venues, adapting spacing and timing to proscenium, black-box, and outdoor festival stages. Alongside the company work I freelance commercially, learning and cleaning choreography within single rehearsal days to match counts and formations on set. That mix of repertory depth and quick-study work is what I would bring into your studio.
I keep a daily class habit and stay conditioned as an ACE-certified group fitness instructor, so I arrive ready to sustain a full repertory rather than ramp my stamina up on company time. My reel at nadiahaddad.com/reel shows the partnering, pointe, and on-camera work, and I am AGMA-affiliated and available to audition any day next week. Send me a slot and I will be in the studio warmed up and off-book on whatever you set.
