  • Name the systems and procedures you actually used

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Listing BLS without the issuing body. Write BLS Provider, American Heart Association, with the expiration, since the AHA card is the standard healthcare facilities verify and it is valid for two years.
  • Claiming or implying an active RN license before passing the NCLEX. State your real status (license pending, NCLEX scheduled or expected) so a background or license check does not contradict your resume.
  • Burying clinical rotations in a vague Experience blurb. Break them out by specialty with the facility type and hour counts so reviewers can see your exposure to med-surg, pediatrics, OB, and behavioral health.

How do I list my NCLEX-RN status on a nursing student resume?
