    Anyone can write "taught reading." Strong teacher bullets pair a method with a measurable result: reading levels gained, benchmark scores raised, referrals reduced, conference attendance held. Include the grade level, class size, and student population so the number has context.

  • Mirror the methodology and tools from the posting

    ATS matching is literal. If the listing says differentiated instruction, IEP, Google Classroom, or MTSS, use those exact terms where they are true for you. Spell out "Individualized Education Program (IEP)" on first use, since some district HR systems are configured for the full phrase.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Leaving the state teaching license, grade band, or endorsement off the top of the resume.
  • Writing "responsible for teaching a class of 25" instead of the methods used and the outcomes reached.
